Redemption: Charles's Testimony of Returning to Jesus

Charles's Testimony:

I’ve lived my whole life in California. I was born and raised in a Christian home and went to Christian school for second grade through eighth grade. I always took my relationship with Jesus for granted and going to church was just something we did, but it was never more than a box I checked every week.

I then went to public high school and completely fell away from my faith. I lived in open sin, engaged in a lifestyle in the world filled with debauchery and just a totally ungodly lifestyle.

In 2015 as I was living in San Francisco, I hadn’t prayed or opened a Bible in years and I cried out to the Lord Jesus to help me get out of my sin and rescue me. It was at that point God started to draw me back to Him.

Fast forward, I started living in Orange County and still not fully committed to Jesus. I was resistant until September 2021 I reached the end of myself and fully recommitted my life back to the Lord Jesus and I was truly a new creation. My wife (who was my fiancée at the time in 2021) also got saved as I recommitted my life back to Christ. By grace through faith, we’ve been saved. (Ephesians 2:8-9).

Ever since then, Jesus has been working in our lives and while we’ve had hardships and trials, it was all the Lord Jesus that strengthened me and is continuing to sanctify me. If I can leave any encouragement to anyone is that, there’s a God in heaven that loves you and sent His one and only Son and that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. All glory to Jesus!
