Lor's Testimony:

2009 was the hardest year of my life.

I lost the love of my life to suicide, and 5 months later, I was rear-ended by a box truck and the accident resulted in significant damage to my spine.

I found out after the accident that I have a rare vascular disorder and was told the average life expectancy was only another 10-15 years. I’ve had over 30 surgeries; a fused spine, multiple joint replacements, kidney, and abdominal.

People always comment how I’m so stoic and ask how I deal with all of it. The truth is very simple- God. There’s a reason I’ve gone through this and only He knows. I don’t worry or question, just trust Him.

The pain can be a lot physically but He’s put amazing doctors in place to help me. I was told I couldn’t have children and I now have a beautiful daughter. I was told 10-15 years and that has passed. My spine doctor thought I had a heart transplant because I’ve improved drastically- no transplant, only deeper faith and prayer.

It’s not always easy, but I have my tribe that keeps me rooted in my faith and that I can lean on when I need to.

Trusting God gets easier the more we do it!
